Trying to find father…
Monique McLean writes: "I was adopted from Thailand from an orphanage when i was only a baby. I was adopted by an Australian couple and have been here in Australia ever since. I have found my birth mother but she does not know where my birth father is now. I am looking for him. His name is Udomsak Thamdee and he was 30 years old when I was born, so that would make him about 62 years of age now. I believe he is from Udon Thani Province... I am also looking for my older half brother. His name is Direak Chaiyuphum and he was born in 1968. He is believed to be in the Bangkok area. Please, do you think you could help me?" These things sound like a longshot but we have managed to reunited a mother and her daughter once before so you never do know... Any info, please contact Monique.

James O'Neill (aka Jimmy O'Neill)
Paul Stringer writes: "Hi, I'm trying to track down my uncle James O'Neill. He is believed to frequent various SE Asia countries. James is a fantastic musician, most notably with the Piano and will likely not be far from the music world. He also enjoys the "odd flutter" on horses and such. I'll try and locate a picture and put it up later. Jimmy is an incredibly intelligent man and an easy going guy who makes friends very easily. He is quite tall (around 6'). Jim has been known to travel/live in Thailand & Vietnam. Last year his daughter (my cousin) "M..." stayed and visited us from the USA. She is a lovely, intelligent and generous girl. She would dearly like to re-connect with her Dad. It's been so long since we've had any contact Jim, we seriously don't know if you are even still with us. Sisters miss you too but understand why you're not over here more than you know. Would be nice for you to get in touch Uncle Jim. Regards - Paul."

David Morris

Hello, I was wondering if you could help me. My father emmigrated to Thailand in 2001, just before the Tsunami occured we lost contact with him. I have tried contacting him with no avail and I would just like to know whether he is alive, if you have any way of finding this out for me I would be extremley grateful. It causes me a lot of pain not knowing if hes ok.

His name is David Morris. He is 5'10"', well built with dark thinning hair and tanned skin. He is of British origin, his mother was Unice Morris, his father Sid Morris, he has a brother and a sister, John and Linda. I am his only daughter and i saw him every weekend up until he left for Thailand. The last time we spoke he had an Opticians business in Phuket, he was married to a Thai woman named Jenny and had a son who he named Christopher, he should be 5 now. Also at the time he had a house and a distinctive white BMW. I have since moved to Canada with my Mother, both his brother and sister have moved house and so have my relatives who he knew, so if there was any chance he came looking for me he would not be able to find me or find anyone who knows anything. Thankyou, Bryony.

Jorge Sanchez

Taniya Clifford writes: "A group of concerned friends are trying to locate a mate of ours who has been missing in Thailand since Nov. 18. There are strange circumstances surrounding his disappearance that have caused concern, and we are trying to get any information that will help locate him. His name is Jorge Sanchez. His name is Jorge Sanchez, he is about 5"8 from Colombia

Jorge is in his early to mid thirties. He was working in Bangkok as a ESL teacher and just never showed up to work one day. Jorge has only been working in Thailand a couple of months, having moved there from China where he resided for a few years. Most of the people who are trying to locate him do not live in Thailand so any assistance we could get would be really appreciated. The Colombian Consulate has been contacted and a missing persons report filed.

He was working for Berlitz. He was pretty much over the moon about moving to Thailand and by all accounts was having a ball so a midnight run is pretty out of the question. His boss has been to his house and everything has been left there. Jorge is a very responsible person, he doesn't drink much, hates drugs and is a well travelled person who plays it pretty safe.

If you have seen or heard about him after Nov 18 please let me know, any information is welcomed."

This does sound a bit curious - if anyone has any idea of his whereabouts, please contact Taniya by clicking the link on her name. He's been a teacher so perhaps some one from the teaching community might be able to help.
